An even 100 this month, bringing the total up to 578. Not buying any more sock yarn, and I'll see how many I can make from what I have now.
According to the first website that showed up when I googled "hexagon quilt calculator", I'd need about 650 hexies for a 54" x 72" lap quilt, or 814 hexies for a twin bed. There's also the question of half hexies to make the border even or not. I'd only need 39 of those for a twin blanket, which doesn't sound like an intimidating number any more.
