Last weekend, I finished my sky scarf. Every night, I knit two garter stitch rows a day in the color of the sky that day. I started this scarf the day Fix left for his predeployment training and I finished it with shaking hands in the airport parking lot before I met his plane.
The process of knitting every night was a mindful and positive way to mark the time we were apart and now that it's finished, a reminder of everything I've accomplished since last June.
Now that Fix is home, we're on vacation and moving soon so posts will be few and far between until late summer. My sewing machine is on a moving truck somewhere... Godspeed, little Pfaff!
