Quilt Progress

This fabric spoke to me as soon as I saw it at the store. It was a little too light to be the border of my bed quilt (which is indeed still in progress) but perfect for the backing. The cat likes it, too.

If he's going to sleep on the fabric, I might as well tuck him in.

Backing, biding, and border fabric for my bed quilt.

Here is the border, binding, and backing fabric all together. The colors are a little washed out in the photo- they're actually quite vibrant except for the binding. I'm not sure how I feel about all the floral print, especially because there's not much in the quilt itself, but the texture is good and I like it more the longer I look at it.

A New Record!

I was feeling awfully smug about switching to Linux a couple months ago, but of course the built-in photo software doesn't play well with my iphone (or my camera?!). This is, I assume, entirely my fault because I haven't worked hard enough on it or even found the right terms to search for online to start working on it.

New Winner: Earliest Historical Romance

I do, however, have a new winner in the Earliest Historical Romance Quest. The Viking's Defiant Bride takes place in 867c.e. according to the back cover. This wins against the "uh... Viking-times that also had Ancient Egyptians??" of the previous title holder.

Romance Novel

As always, I challenge you to find an earlier one! Join me on my quest!
